Cheeky Billboards

NSW had a cheeky campaign promoting tourism for northern NSW in Feb and March this year. They placed a billboard at the Goldcoast airport which stated 'the only high rises you'll see. turn right for the NSW North Coast' with an image of mount warning. See the link below to view the billboard. Maybe a similar version could be placed at Brisbane airport or in Northern NSW to continue north.

  1. This is a good technique, using somthing 'cheeky' or 'out of the ordinary' to grab peoples attention, and get them to buy/use or in this case visit their product.

  4. I have received advice from the Gold Coast Mayoral office, and Ron is happy to have the region display a sense of humour or show humility through this advertising campaign.
"Anything to avoid reinforcement of negative values attributed to the Coast at present, we've got mountains too you know" A politician and a regular bloke captured in one sentence, no wonder he got the job ;-] owyn
